Praxis cuts back on my documentation time to less than an hour a day which is pretty good considering that I see \> 20 patient a day. Technical support is outstanding. Also, when you put something in the note, such as the prescription, or a referral, it sends it when you close the note. So you aren't having to do something twice. > > **Puntos en contra**: It is different as it is set up so the processor needs to "learn" what you do to help you write notes. You have a full note available and then activate or deactivate what pertains. Unfortunately the Plan section is a little disjointed and doesn't have this ability. In fact that is one of the most annoying things that there is not one consistent way to do things. Some processes take one click , some take two, some you check "ok" and some you click "enter". There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. And my training had no idea why it is like that or how to help me know which way other than wrote memory. So the training is very uphill and the setting up of "assessments", their idea of templates, is very cumbersome. So I think that once I get there, it will be very useful . The other big downfall is that it is runs very slow. They recently migrated to Postgress to fix this, but I don't see a difference except there seem to be fewer crashes. > > Frustrating training. Very slow. Not consistent. Very robust in what it can do. But I think it will take me a while until I get to the point that I can really appreciate it. Praxis EMR is continuously updated, and just keeps getting better and better. > > Overall, I find Praxis EMR to be excellent. Because it is customizable, I am able to create a written handout for each patient which I provide at each visit. At the next visit, I can open the prior handout which is easily be updated, so I can provide written instructions for patients with their personalized plan and "to do" list. The design of the EMR is wonderful: Praxis able to learn with every new case and really make you feel that you have a partner who is always next to you to help. This EMR has great value for the money spent with great customer support: reliable and responsive when help was needed. Praxis provides ability to keep timely records of interaction between doctor and patient, patient and staff of the office with reliable medical records security.
